This company is too young; not much data is available and only one analyst covers the stock. It has had operational loss so far. The company mission is to become a leader in marketing and production of ethanol and other renewable fuels (is it including cow shit? just kidding). It bought Kinergy and Renergy (both were LLC) in March 2005 so its sales increased from previously $16,800 to $51.5 million in 2005. Yes it plans to build 5 plants in the west coast if the company can borrow enough money. Last month it was able to sign a Letter of Commitment with a bank for a commercial loan of $24 million. Personally I will not throw money into it. How did you know Bill Gates invests into it? If so, to him it was a pocket change. Good for Gates for he has doubled his money. I could not say the same to Paul Allen though.
Talking about the play of ethanol, I would rather check out Archer Daniels Midland company which locates in your "backyard," in Decatur, Illinois. This is a huge company specializing in agricultural processings, storing, transporting, marketing, and producing, including ethanol. Several years ago the father and son team ran into troubles with the laws; the stock price was $6-$8 per share. Today it was close to $30.
