Subject Matter Expert (SME) (RIGHTSTEP SUPPORT)-Technical Consulting Capability

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will be a matrixed Workforce Agreement (WFA) into the Applications Service Engineering Portfolio (ASEP) organization and will be part of the Strategic Capability Management Team. This position is specifically focused on Technical Consulting – specifically the role of SME/RightStep Support. The role involves interacting with a global and matrixed team, consisting of individuals within ASEP, Global Delivery Application Services (GDAS), Global Field Operations and the Practices. Candidates for this position should have domain and content knowledge around Technical Consulting capability and preferred experience in the capability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Direct EDS influence over industry Enterprise Architecture frameworks and develop improvements to the RightStep methodology via TOGAF/RightStep alignment, ITIL V3 alignment.
2. Define, create and maintain detailed BTS/RightStep process content which is incorporated into the Agile RightStep Framework and linked to the Global Applications Delivery Quality Management System (GAD QMS).
3. Maintain RightStep process content, and process change requests to content in accordance with the ASEP and SCM governance models
4. Train, coach and/or mentor EDS practitioners on RightStep and associated Enterprise Architecture methods and the BTS/Transformation planning processes
5. Protect and manage the patent and trademark for "RightStep"
6. Orchestrate collaboration across Offerings, Capabilities, and process to ensure alignment in priorities, messaging, and delivery (e.g., AMod, Infrastructure Rationalization, ISS/SOA).
7. Plan, design and propose a structure for the RightStep supporting assets to promote reuse and speed and quality of delivery.
8. Harvest relevant assets from field practitioners incorporate these into the RightStep/Technical Consulting Capability asset base, where applicable and promote practitioner community
9. Actively participate and contribute to proposal content and other related service requests from the field
10. Maintain links and work in collaboration with relevant SMEs in ITO and BPO Service lines. Attend cross-service lines meeting and undertake any actions arising from them.
11. Maintain training materials, in conjunction with TC team and Global Learning & Development
Skills descriptions and Competencies:
· Strong facilitation and presentation skills at the CxO level
· Detailed working knowledge of EDS RightStep, AgileRightStep Framework.
· Detailed working knowledge of Consulting based offerings, especially Business & Technology Services (BTS) – must have worked on a BTS type engagement within the last 18 months
· Must have qualified as a BTS Trained Consultant
· Strong client facing skills, must have worked at CxO or senior manager level with external clients in the area for which they are an SME
· Familiar with the Consulting operating model for Sales, Solutioning and Delivery
· Must have provided significant services to clients in one or more of the following;
ü IT Strategy
ü IT Transformation
ü Business Transformation
ü IT Governance
ü Enterprise Architecture
· Must have experience of either leading a small consulting team , or working as part of a large consulting team
· Self starter with a good network of contacts within HP/EDS and ability to quickly extend that network
· Works collaboratively with peers, leadership team, at multiple levels within the organization. Meet commitments and builds trust
· Member of the capability workforce (recognized Subject Matter Expert in the capability)
· Recognized as a thought leader
· Proven strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to deliver high quality presentations to senior EDS/HP and Client personnel
· Knowledge of Global Applications Delivery Quality Management capability process set and/or HP delivery process set
· Uses appropriate capability practices, tools, and methodologies and applies appropriate policies and procedures
· Demonstrates synergistic behavior through knowledge sharing, interaction, and innovation. Provides value-add contributions. Shares knowledge in a timely manner to enable others to increase their effectiveness
· Has general understanding of all Applications, ITO and BPO Offerings and the Concept to Production process.
· Flexibility to work in multiple time zones
