Our corporate headquarter is in Boston and a significant part of our engineering team and operations team are in Beijing. The team is made up of different disciplines (Web development, Networking, Distributed Computing, Java, Ruby, C/C++, and Amazon AWS).
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our Beijing engineering team with the following responsibilities:
• Building an engineering culture that is productive as well as enjoyable to be a part of.
• Attracting and hiring engineering talents from China, but also other geographic regions such as US, Europe and Australia to join our Beijing team;
• Managing engineering deliverables, and overseeing process, schedule, quality as well as resource allocations;
• Communication within the team as well as throughout the rest of the cross culture organization is a key component of the job;
Requirements:
• The location of this position is based in Beijing. It requires a 10% to 15% travel between Boston HQ and Beijing.
• Fluency in English is required. Chinese language skills are helpful, but not required.
• Successful experience of leading a technical team in a cross culture high tech company
