there is nothing wrong coming out of tech background
but believe just with tech training can manage company well was the theory of 80's when MIT was in better hype than today
the pure tech managed company failures are so easy to count, but i do not want get myself in trouble.
i am sure there are many here used to or still in the inudstry so all i offer is some hint:
the companies had all the best resources, but made wrong marketing decisions and failed entire generations: a big european conglomorate in this inudstry
one in texas: with all the bext tech resource, failed on all commerical products, turned basically to government biz and chips...
i guess what i really want to say is you do not bull shit the bull shiters!
