基本上我跟不拉一样反对老中把钱运回国。老中现在活得挺好，没病没债，离用这笔钱的时候还远(少说还有二十年吧)。一旦钱在手边，以老中的豪爽，也许几年就没了。又不能玩房产，因为天有不测风云，说不定哪天急用。也不能玩股票，因为没那个劲头。
可是放在美国毕竟不是办法。美元跌是一定的(我就不信巴菲特看长期会错)，抱歉，还是用英文吧快一点
in the US, about 77 milllion baby boomers are retiring.they are rich but not productive any more.
on the other part of the world, billions of people from China, india, vietnam, indonesia and maybe even africa are joining the work force. those guys are penniless and clueless.
now we have the picture, if the world is a company, it is a company expanding fast, mostly in the number of people.
we have a board with more rich people, a management team lacks training due to the fast expansion and a labor force of less educated people. in general, the economy of the whole world is going to be a bit more "stupid" in a way within 20 years.
the demand is high but limited, the producers far outnumber buyers, everyone competes for limited natural resources, partly due to the capacity expansion, partly due to the poor efficiency which is, unfortunately, compensated by extremely low labor cost.
in that sense, i think those resources rich contries in the developed side will do very well in the future.
maybe it's time to hand your USD to Boer and ask her to buy bond or bond fund for you in the country where the kangaroos rule. 
in a world of more "stupid" economy, it might be wise to buy something stupid. gold is stupid, but not the most stupid. steel is a cadidate. more than 100 years have passed, people are still building their houses with steel. i do not see any significant change in the future.
if anyone thinks that shiiiiiit is more stupid and wants to buy some, i have no ground to vote against him.
