Dear Friends,

We’re excited to announce that next week we’re publishing our first English-language pocket guide to Shanghai restaurants, covering almost 250 of the city’s most notable dining establishments - ranging from exciting newcomers to long-established favorites and representing some 35 cuisines - and also including 32 top hotels.

Shanghai, China’s largest city and the engine of its explosive economic growth, has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past several years. In fact, it is recognized as one of the world’s fastest growing cities. With more foreign capital flowing into it, along with more tourists and businesspeople, it’s an ideal time to release a guide that reflects the city’s remarkable energy and cosmopolitan spirit.

We are going to Shanghai for the guide’s launch and are looking forward to using it to navigate the city’s vast dining possibilities, from legendary local dumpling houses to the likes of Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s eponymous contemporary French destination. We hope you’ll consider bringing the Survey on your next trip as well.

Best Wishes,

New York, NY.
